"We are proud to introduce the inspiring people who train at the Dayton Quest Center Dojo."
|
The Dayton Quest Center is an up-lifting place in which to spend time with friends who share your commitment to personal advancement. Your instructors are dedicated to helping you discover your own insights into personal power, resourcefulness, broad vision, peace of mind, and happiness. James Kentoshi Norris - 6th Degree Hombu Shihan moved from Washington State to begin his study in An-shu’s original "barn dojo", and now heads up SKH Quest To-Shin Do Hombu teaching and testing programs. An-shu says, “James Kentoshi has some of the subtlest taijutsu going – really authentic ninja movement. He has been my right-hand man for years, and his skill quality shows the results of his dedication to constant training with me. I often send James Kentoshi Norris to outlying dojos to present seminars in To-Shin Do because he is one of the best you can find when it comes to delivering my message and art!” Richard Watoshi Sears, Psy. D., M.B.A. - 5th Degree first met An-shu Stephen and Rumiko in the early 1980s as a young teenager at the famous "barn dojo", and is now a professor of Clinical Psychology at Union Institute & University. An-shu says, “Richard Watoshi takes the essence of his years in the Japanese martial arts and meditation sciences and so relevantly converts the techniques to practical lessons. Dr. Sears has so much to share from his extensive experience, and channels his intelligence and compassion into inspiring To-Shin Do classes.” Shane Stevens - 2nd Degree moved to Dayton from Maine, where he trained under Master Instructor John Gentoshi Poliquin. A proud new father, Shane has renewed his commitment to being in Dayton in order to share his energetic teaching style and passion for martial arts as a major part of the SKH Quest Center teaching team. An-shu says, “Shane is a great example of the model student. I love how he never leaves my class without asking one more question to add to his knowledge and skill; Shane’s tenacity reminds me of my days with my teacher back in Japan in the 1970s.” Brett Griffin – 1st Degree Julia Wood - 1st Degree has a background in professional association organizational management, and early in her To-Shin Do training made up her mind to be a part of the SKH Quest work. An-shu says, "Julia demonstrates determination to advance, whether she is on the teaching floor or helping other students at the front counter. She brings a professional outlook to our dojo's commitment to excellence, and that helps everyone win!" R. Brian Denton, Psy. D. - 1st Degree Trainers
