Youth Empowerment & Leadership
Youth today need to feel more secure in the world - yet realize they are ultimately responsible for creating that security for themselves and others. To do this, they must learn to keep going through things that would hold them back. In a systematic, safe and fun way, the Dayton Quest Center will help youth explore and stretch the boundaries of their physical, mental and spiritual selves.

Based on the self-protection system of To-Shin Do, the Dayton Quest Center is at its heart, the art of perseverance - key to youth threatened by poverty, tenuous family
ties and violence in their neighborhoods. We have the power to transform lives by teaching young people to avoid negative forces while developing their own strengths - creating leaders and peacemakers dedicated to using their training to benefit the broader public.

The Dayton Quest Center provides the opportunity and the skills to overcome any obstacle on the path to success by teaching:

• LEADERSHIP...And how we are counting on our young people to take us into the future.
• PERSERVERANCE...Stressing how to keep going and growing.
• CONFIDENCE...Showing young people positive ways to take on whatever life dishes out.
• COMPASSION...Ways to extend care and concern to all.
• RESPECT...Reinforcing to treat others the way they would want to be treated.
• CONFLICT RESOLUTION...To know how to make peace and keep the peace in their corner of the world.
